Would you like to lift your voice in harmony with a community of women who sing together in sacred circle? My intention is always to create a safe, supportive space for you to open to the magic and beauty of your voice as a tool for healing and self-expression. Together we will explore our voices through a variety of vocal, toning, improvisation and harmonizing exercises, as well as learn spirited rounds, songs, and chants from around the globe. No experience necessary. "Call and response" style!

March 15th - 26th, 2011 Singing and Gentle Movement Retreat in Ubud, Bali
Led by Heather Houston and Samantha Keller
Cultivate self-expression in the timeless experience of singing in circle.
Immerse yourself in song and community in the lush beauty of Bali, Indonesia. We will sing, chant, practice yoga, and experience the rich artistic culture of Bali for a glorious 10 days! Our singing sessions will focus on vocal and breathing techniques, harmony singing, improvisation, sacred chanting, and sound healing. Everyday you will have the opportunity to move your body through a gentle yoga practice or dance class.
Delicious, locally grown organic breakfasts and lunches will be served. Our nights will be spent enjoying the gorgeous music and dance of Balinese culture and sampling the international cuisine of Ubud. You will have two free afternoons to explore the local spas, markets, boutiques, art galleries, and the Monkey Forest. Mid-retreat we will take a day by the sea to enjoy snorkeling in the warm aqua waters of Padangbai.
For the duration of the retreat you will be living in the rice fields northeast of Ubud with a view of Mt. Agung. Our meeting space is a 3rd floor yoga studio in a stunning villa with a 360-degree view of the rice fields. Let the magic of this sacred retreat leave you deeply nourished and inspired!
