Winter Concert

Women with Wings and women from my singing circles singing gorgeous
songs to celebrate the winter season. You will hear songs in
English, Hebrew, Latin, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Native American, as well
as some originals.
Women's Winter Solstice Singing Retreat in the Santa Cruz Mountains
Saturday, December 20th
Come and nourish your spirit! This will be a relaxing day
of singing, gentle yoga, nature, good food and good friends.
The day long retreat will be held at Skyote Mountain Retreat Center,
a beautiful, healing space in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This
center is built out of hay bails, is on solar power, all off grid, and
is surrounded by stunning redwoods. It has a large, gorgeous room
specifically designed for such events as this.
We will begin the day at 10 a.m. with a check in, toning, gentle
heart and throat opening yoga for everyone, and breath work, (I
am a certified Tri-yoga basics instructor) followed by vocal
meditation with my beloved Shruti box.
We will then have lunch (brought by you), and time to connect with your friends, yourself, and, or the land.
The afternoon will be full of new songs and chants that I have never
tought before, some playful improvisation and movement, and a powerful
sound healing session. We will then have a restorative yoga
session with a long savasana followed by vocal meditaion again.
Here you will have the option of an extended savasana where you
can just recieve the beauty of the meditation, or you can join me on
the vocal journey.
You will have some free time with in which to integrate. Please bring a journal.
An all organic, vegetarian, wheat-and gluten free dinner will be served
to you by the staff there at Skyote. (Pleae let me know if you
have any other allergies). You will then have more free time.
In the evening we will create safe, sacred space for ritual and intention setting.
Registration fee: $130 before December 1st.
$150 thereafter

What to bring:
A water bottle filled with water. (refills available)
A lunch (Dinner, snacks and tea are included)
Comfortable clothing for moving in
Warm layers for the outdoors
Hiking shoes, or boots if you wish to explore
A yoga mat
A blanket for savasana
A cushion to sit on and to use as a prop for yoga
A journal and pen
An item for the group alter
A towel for the hot tub (bathing suit optional)
Circle of Harmony Singing Circle Class Description:
Would you like to lift your voice in harmony with a community of women
or men and women who sing together in sacred circle? My intention
is always to create a safe, supportive space for you to open to the
magic and beauty of your voice as a tool for healing and
self-expression. Together we will explore our voices through a
variety of vocal, toning, improvisation and harmonizing exercises, as
well as learn spirited rounds, songs, and chants from around the
globe.
No experience necessary. "Call and
response" style!
